Where are you located? 
45351 Singer Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio, 43950. Country feel, but close to amenities. The Thicket is located just minutes from exit 213 off of Interstate 70. We are about 15 minutes from Wheeling, WV and sit right in between the major cities of Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Columbus. We are close to several hotels, restaurants, and the quaint small town of St. Clairsville, Ohio. 
 What’s your max capacity? 
 The Thicket is a 6,000+ square foot venue situated on nearly 60 acres of beautiful property complete with mature trees, a private pond, STR Cabins, and much more you have to witness in person. We can accommodate up to 220 guests for an indoor or outdoor seated event 
Do you have on-site parking? 
Yes, the majority of our parking lot is white stone and located very close to the venue. We also have a paved area for handicap/elderly parking close to the entrance. 
Are you handicap accessible? 
 Yes, we have handicap parking as well as both men’s and women’s bathrooms with an oversized/handicap stall. 
Are there indoor and outdoor ceremony site options? 
 Yes, we do have an indoor ceremony space available as well as several outdoor options too 
 What time can we access the venue to set up and decorate? 
Standard access begins at 8-9 AM depending on your chosen package. But remember, The Thicket staff will always have your floor plan set, and the chosen decor will be set out and in place before your arrival. 
What time do we have to vacate the venue/property? 
Music will cease and guest departure will begin no later than 10:30PM (unless an additional hour has been booked). Following that, there will be an additional 30 minutes for gathering personal belongings/decor/etc. 
 Is there a place for the wedding party to get ready on-site? 
Yes! We have private spaces for the Bride (and her bridal party) and the Groom (and his bridal party) located in the 2nd building directly north of the venue. Each bridal suite has a private bathroom, seating, mirrors, and other fun amenities. There is also a common space for parents, grandparents/etc to hang out and relax too (complete with sofas and more). And, be sure to check out the on-site cabin as it’s also available for overnight rentals!! 
Is a wedding day coordinator included in the booking?
A wedding day coordinator is not included in the booking. The Thicket will however, have staff onsite from your arrival through your departure to handle things such as temperature adjustments, emptying trash cans, keeping bathrooms tidy, cleaning up spills/etc. We strongly suggest that each couple has a wedding day coordinator. This must be someone with experience who can provide a detailed timeline and other services. We offer wedding day coordination services and our coordinators are fully committed to creating a detailed timeline, communicating with all vendors and orchestrating your rehearsal and wedding day–and we offer this service well below industry standard pricing. Ask us for more info on this! 
 What is included in a rental at The Thicket? 
Included in EVERY booking at The Thicket are tables (round and/or banquet), chairs (separate chairs for indoors and outdoors), ceremony benches, covered patio tables and chairs, outdoor games, and more. Based on the floor plan we have designed with you prior to your big day, we will also have your tables, chairs, benches, etc. all set and placed prior to your arrival. Our Bride and Groom’s suite are located in the 2nd building directly north of the venue and are included with all bookings. 
 How do I reserve The Thicket Venue? 
A ⅓ your rental fee is due as a deposit and required to secure your date with us. We also offer interest free payment plans and can customize these to meet your specific needs. Inquire for more info. 
 If I choose to cancel my booking, is my deposit refundable? 
Our deposits are non-refundable. However, our force majeure clause does protect your investment in the case of unavoidable and unforeseen circumstances 
Are we required to use your preferred or required vendors? 
No! At The Thicket we want your day to be just that–YOUR DAY. We have a completely open vendor policy. We do have a list of “preferred/recommended” vendors that has been carefully put together from our firsthand experience with their services over the years. You will receive a list of these vendors after booking and we fully stand behind their services. 
 Is it required that we have security at our event? 
No, we do not require hired security at your event 
 Do you require a damage deposit? 
Yes, we do collect a $500 damage deposit. This can be submitted to The Thicket via credit card authorization form OR a check. We will NOT authorize the card or cash the check unless damages were to occur. In the event that no damages occur, the authorization form/check will be shredded. 
Is the venue climate controlled? 
Yes, The Thicket venue is fully climate controlled which means we have heat and air. The venue will be kept comfortable during your event which sometimes means heat in the morning and air by afternoon. This applies to both the reception barn, bridal suites, and overnight cabin. 
Do you allow photoshoots to be done at The Thicket? 
Yes, we welcome scheduled photoshoots at The Thicket. Pricing is set at $300 for a 2 hour session (you hire and bring your photographer). However, if you are a currently booked client, this is included at no additional charge with your booking. 
 How do rehearsals work at The Thicket? 
We offer an onsite 60 minute rehearsal to book upon availability at The Thicket. Our Saturday couples will have first priority in scheduling their rehearsals. Depending on the time of year, rehearsals can sometimes take place the evening before the wedding but sometimes they are scheduled the morning of or possibly 2 days before the event. We will always do our best to accommodate rehearsals.
